Himalayan Ecological Trekking

Island Peak and EBC

The beauty of its mountains and hospitality  and warmth of its Sherpa people are  legendary. This wonderful trek takes us  into the heart of the Khumbu V alley, and  visits Everest Base Camp. An ascent of  Kala Pattar (5545m), is good  acclimatization and gives us magnificent  close-up views of Everest. Leaving the  main trail we decent to Chhukung via  Dingboche. We then move into the Imja  Valley to the base of Island Peak. The
climbing of Island Peak (6189m) is challenging, involving scrambling on rock, an ascent of a snow face and then tackling the final ridge. For those who are well acclimatized, determined and have the energy, the views from the top provide some of the most striking scenery in the Khumbu region. Our descent, surprisingly fast, brings us back to Lukla and to our flight to Kathmandu.

New nature in the Himalaya
Saturday, 09 April 2011
HET has just launched a new program in the remote area behind the Himalaya named Tsum Valley, which is a fragile land of heaven of Buddhist culture and deep beauty & silence of nature.   No scarify of living beings, and countless stupas/Chorten , peace and happy people, landscapes and Charming Himalayas of Ganesh Himala are the major attraction of this valley. Probably this is only the valley where any one smells of untouched nature.
