Arun Valley Butterfly and Nature Trek

This trip is highlighted for the nature, culture and butterfly watchers. Gaining maximum 3600 m altitude from sea level , experience of natural beauties and cultural diversities of the ethnic tribe Rai-Limbu-Gurung-Sherpa and others & seeing more than 147 species of the butter fly in Aaarun valley are the major experience of this trip.
The Arun valley provides really sound views of both Mt Everest and Mount Makalu. It lies between the Sagarmatha and Makalu-Barun National Parks. The trek requires sound fitness to fully appreciate the beauty of the region, which provides some outstanding mountain views. Commencing with a flight to Tumlingtar to the East of Everest, the first week is spent trekking through virgin territory into the Solu Khumbu region before a push up on the main Everest trail to Kallapattar for tremendous close ups of Everest Nuptse and Lhotse along with many others before a journey back to Lukla and a flight to Kathmandu. Arun valley trek is still remote but there are available tea house facilities for a small group and it is easy trekking routes follows to the Arun River. It will be nice to arrange camping (tents camp) Trekking on this trails.
Itinerary
Day 01
Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel. Tour briefing -Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 02
Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley of the world heritage sites (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square). Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 03
1 hr flight to Tumlingtar and trek to Kartiki Ghat approx 4 hrs along the Arun river bank through the local villages.
Day 04
Approx 5 ½ hrs walk to Dobane along the Irkhu Khola (stream) bank passing interesting local villages of Rai/Limbu.
Day 05
Accent up to Jaubari (Chayksila) a small hilly settlement of Rai people bellow Rhododendron forest.
Day 06
Accent for 2 hrs to the Salpa pass 3414 m 1 ½ hrs further accent up through the dense Rhododendron forest to be at the holy lake Salpa Pokhari, Great view of Mt. Makalu and Mera peak which is famous for all the Hindu and Kirantee people, Rai/Limbu. 2 hrs decent to a small settlement of Sherpa people in Sanam. O/N at tented camp.
Day 07
4 hrs decent to Hongu Khola via huge Sherpa, Rai and Limbu villages viewing Mera and Naulekh peaks. 1 hr accent up to Bung a massive settlement of Rai & Limbu (Kirantee) people.
Day 08
Trek along the hill side passing many local settlements and cultivated lands arrive in Sotang for over night tented camp where a huge loacal exchange market helds on every Tuesday.
Day 09
2 hrs decent to Dudhkoshi River accent 3 hrs accent up to Budhi Dhara/Jareni O/N tented camp.
Day 10
6 hrs easy decent and flat walk to Jun Bensee (meet main trail to the Everest from Jiri) visit of Chyoling Monastery. Good lodge facilities for the trekkers to the Mt. Everest /Solokhumbu. O/N Lodge or, tented camp.
Day 11
3 hr accent up to Lamjura pass 3600 m through dense rhododendron and pine forest, 1 hr flat walk in the high hill side, with great mountain views 2 hrs decent to Sete, through high rhododendron trees forest. Visit of big Hilary school. O/N at tented camp.
Day 12
1 ½ hrs decent to Kenja a small town in the river bank, 1 hr flat walk along the river bank 2 ½ hrs accent up to Bhadar deurali (Bhanjyang/Pass). O/N at tented camp.
Day 13
2 hrs decent to Shivalaya river, 2 ½ hrs accent up to Mali Bhanjyang, 1 ½ hrs decent to Jiri a local town which was the starting point for the Everest treks.
Day 14
9 hrs local bus 7 hrs private car drive back to Kathmandu crossing many green hills (snowy passes in the winter) along the innumerable curves. Arrive at Hotel in Kathmandu in the evening.
Day 15
Free day in Kathmandu for leisure or, for shoping.
Dasy 16
Guided tour to the world heritage site Bhaktapur which is famous for the carvings and pottery 40 minutes drive up to Nagarkot hill. Evening sunset view. Morning sunrise view with the far away view of the Mt. Everest, 1 hr drive back to Kathmandu international airport for home departure.
