Ganesh Himal (Cultural and natural tour)

This is a non tourist but perfect area to be in Nature along the Himalaya and in typical culture of the ethnic tribe Gurung, Tamang, Ghale, Bhramin, Newar and many more. Cultural diversity, natural beauties - from tropical-sub tropical to Alpine vegetation with well preserved wild life and experiences of the Himalayas, in optional duration  from one week to 3 weeks are the main advantages of this trip.

Itinerary

15 days Ganesh Himal  with 2 days Rafting in Trishuli river

 

This region offers spectacular views, untouched natural beauty and friendly inhabitations of Tamang (a ethnic tribe familiar with the ancien Culture) in upper part and Newar, Magar, Gurung Brhaman, Chettri and Dalit (traditionally untouchable tribe) in the lower part with different cultivation, natural forest and wild lives partly.

The mountain “Ganesh Himal” is named from the elephant-headed God of Good Fortune. This mountain can clearly be seen from Kathmandu Valley to north-west.

 

Trip duration: Multiple. 7 -17 days.

Max. Altitude: 3890 above Pangsang Pass.

Best time to travel: Feb-March-April-May & Sept-December. Feb-March recommended for Rhododendron.

 

 

Day 1  Depart from Europe  to Nepal

Day 2  Arrival Kathmandu transfer to your hotel Nirvana Garden *** with break fast <www.nirvanagarden.com>

            Transfer & Check in hotel. Tour briefing, free evening.

 

Day 3: Kathmandu transfer to your hotel Nirvana Garden ***with break fast.

            Visit of Bhaktapure, Pashupatinath & Bouddhanath.

         The Different story says: Boudhhanath was founded by the Nepalese Likchhabi king Sivadeva (c. 590-604CE), though             other Nepalese chronicles date it to the reign of King Mānadeva(464-505CE). Tibetan sources claim a mound on the site             was excavated in the late 15th or early 16th century and the bones of king Amshubarma 605-621 were discovered there.

Day 4: Kathmandu – Syabru Bensee 1460 Mt. Over night at Lodge.

            After break fast start by bus for 7 hrs via Nuwakot valley and Dhunche 1900 M through Langtang national park.  Evening natural hot spring bath in the Bhotekoshi river bank.

 

Day 5: Syabru Bensee to Gatlang 2240 Mt. Over night at local lodges.

            After break fast 11/2 hrs accent Ronga Bhanjyang and 3 hrs slow accent to Gatlang village through some cultivated land and huge Tamang settlement.

 

Day 6: Gatlang – Somdang. 3270 Mt. Over night at local lodge.

            31/2 accent up to Khurpu Danda 3620 Mt through dense pine forest starts the view of Langtang Himal, Mt. Xisapangma and part of Ganseh Himal including Pangsang pass. 2 hrs easy decent to Somdang

 

Day 7: Day for acclimatization walk to Jaisuli Kinda (Lake) and back to lodge.

 

Day 8: Somdang –Pangsang Pass 3830 Mt. – Tipling  2140 Mt. Over night at the local houses with the families.

            2 hrs accent over the Pangsang pass, the closest view of Mt. Ganesh Himal to north and Langtang Himalayan Range to east/north long down hill hiking through the forest and arrive at a huge Tamang settlement and cultivated land.

 

 

Day 9: Tipling-Borang 1640 Mt. over night at the families houses.

            Today you decent for 1 hr and accent for next hr, then through a wide cultivated land and Gurung/Tamang settlement. Evening Tamang cultural performance (Mendo Maya ) by the villagers.

 

 

Day 11: Borang - Kintang Bensee 1050 Mt. Over night at local lodges near the river bank.

            Today you will follow the hillside trail above Netrawati river (Aankhu Khola)  through many different villages.

 

 

Day 12:  Kintang Bensee (Phedi) – Charaundi (Trisuli river) over night at tented camp.

            After break fast you will start by the four wheel drives for 2 hrs along the rough road to Dhading Bensee and 50 minutes more along the Kalu pande high way towards to Kuringhat. Lunch and start for Rafting for 3 more hrs to Kurin Ghat. camp.

 

 

Day 13: Kuringhat-Muglin-Kathmandu. Hotel Nirvana Garden with break fast.

            Today, 2 more hrs rafting along the Trisuli river till further bellow Muglin. 4 hrs drive back by private van/bus to Kathmandu along the Prithvi high way.

 

 

Day 14: Kathmandu Hotel Nirvana Garden with break fast.

            Free day to Kathmandu around the Durbar square & Thamel. Evening fare well dinner with the cultural program in Nepalese Restaurant.

 

 

Day 15: Transfer to International airport for departure to home. Program end.

Tsum means Separated and hidden. Actually this newly opened area for the foreign visitors and in fact it is as separated valley in between Tibetan Plateau and Trans Himalaya. This valley is located north of Mt. Ganesh Himal. It's main fact is non violent and very deep in Buddhist religion, countless Stupas and Mani walls along and through the valley. All people are Buddhist with Tibetan customs & Language.Even though it is newly opened for Tourist this Himalayan Ecological Trekking (P.) Ltd is already launched this area as home stay tours in this valley. 2-3 weeks duration is recommendable  to complete this un-touched nature.
