Rara Lake Trekking
Trekking in Rara Lake offers the best scenery on the north-western most side of Nepal. Within its confines lie the Rara national park, the smallest park in Nepal. where in turn the country's largest lake, the Rara Lake can be found (10.8 sq. km. At 2,990 meters). Considered one of the sound parks in the world, Rara National Park abounds in coniferous forest and is the ideal habitats for the musk deer, Himalayan black bear and others . We can found there the national bird of Nepal, flies above while a variety of fish, the snow trout, inhabit the Rara lake. The trek can begin in Jumla (over an hours flight from Kathmandu) or from the nearer Nepalgunj. Rara is a good destination point for trekking in the west. The trail is very much off the beaten path and affords glimpses of culture and scenery very different from those in the rest of the country. The centerpiece of the park is the biggest lake of Nepal. The park includes Trans- Himalayan valley with high ridges covered with forest and alpine pastures.
Itinerary
Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 02:
Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square). Overnight at hotel. B.B.
Day 03:
Flight Kathmandu - Nepalgunj. Overnight at hotel Batika.
Day 04:
Flight Nepalgunj - Jumla (2370m). Overnight at tented camp.
Day 05:
Trek to Danphe Langa (3130m). Overnight at tented camp.
Day 06:
Trek to Chautha (2770m). Overnight at tented camp.
Day 07:
Trek to Dhotu (2380m). Overnight at tented camp.
Day 08:
Trek to Lago Rara. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 09:
Rara lake (3040m). Overnight at tented camp.
Day 10:
Rest and explore Rara Lake. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 11:
Trek to Ghorasingha (3190m). Overnight at tented camp.
Day 12:
Trek to Sinja (2440m). Overnight at tented camp.
Day 13
Trek to Jaljala (3270m). Overnight at tented camp.
Day 14:
Trek to Jumla. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 15:
Flight Jumla - Nepalgunj - Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 16:
Take leisure day in Kathmandu with guided half day city tour around the valley. Overnight at hotel. B. B.
Day 17:
Transfer to Airport for your onward Journey. Farewell!

Tsum means Separated and hidden. Actually this newly opened area for the foreign visitors and in fact it is as separated valley in between Tibetan Plateau and Trans Himalaya. This valley is located north of Mt. Ganesh Himal. It's main fact is non violent and very deep in Buddhist religion, countless Stupas and Mani walls along and through the valley. All people are Buddhist with Tibetan customs & Language.Even though it is newly opened for Tourist this Himalayan Ecological Trekking (P.) Ltd is already launched this area as home stay tours in this valley. 2-3 weeks duration is recommendable to complete this un-touched nature.

Usually, dry & sunny spring passed with weekly heavy rain this year. So, high snowing in the Mountain and greenery is grown in the earliest than usual.

HET has just launched a new program in the remote area behind the Himalaya named Tsum Valley, which is a fragile land of heaven of Buddhist culture and deep beauty & silence of nature. No scarify of living beings, and countless stupas/Chorten , peace and happy people, landscapes and Charming Himalayas of Ganesh Himala are the major attraction of this valley. Probably this is only the valley where any one smells of untouched nature.
