Bhairav Kunda Trekking

Bhairab kunda is known as secrete lakes in the central/Northern Nepal. Natural beauty, Cultural richness just below the Juphal Himalayan ranges gives a memorable imagination.
The lake is named after the destructive image of Lord Shiva, the Bhirav. Lying to the northest of Kathmandu, Bhairav Kunda is near Nepal-Tibetan border. Balephi on the Araniko Highway is the starting point for the trek. The settlements along the route form Newars, Gurungs and Sherpas as majorities. The top of Bhirav Kunda offers an excellent view of Rolwalling Range, Jugal Himal and the Tibetan Himalayan Ranges.

Itinerary

Day 01

Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel. On at hotel. B.B.

Day 02
Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square). O/n at hotel. B.B.

Day 03
About 3 - 4 hours drive by private van to Last resort (108 k.m.) and enjoy the Bungy Jumping. This is Nepal's first Bungy Jumping, which is situated 160m. over Bhote Kosi river. Overnight at Last Resort in Full Bord.

Day 04
Trek starts. Trek to Gumba via Listi. 7-8 hours walking. The trek route follows the old trade route between Nepal and Tibet. Overnight at tented camp (Full board meal).

Day 05
Trek to Jorpati. 6 hours walking. Overnight at tented camp (Full board meal).

Day 06
Trek to Bhairavkunda Lake (4320m.) - 4 hours walking. Overnight at tented camp (Full board meal). Bhairavkunda Lake is most sacred lake in the lab of the Himalayas having its religious importance. This kunda (lake) is considered as the one of the sacred pilgrimage sites for the Shamans which is situated in Listi V.D.C. close to the Tibetan border.

This holy mountain lake located in the high elevation is important for both Hindu and Buddhist devotees. During every Bhadra (August) full moon, the devotees visit the lake and take bath and pay their homage there. In addition to this, the spectacular view of the background snow- capped mountains peaks including the Dorje Lhakpa (6966) is equally eye appealing.

Day 07
Trek to Dugunagadi Fortress (2450m.) - 6-7 hours walking. Overnight at tented camp (Full board meal). The Dugunagadi Fortress - maze of crumbling walls strategically which is right located on a plateau at an altitude of 2084m. This fortress was built by the Nepali Army to attack the Bhot in 1854. Bhot is now known as Tibet which is situated behind the Himalaya. The views are stunning; during the day one gazes at Tibetan snow-capped peaks and by night, the lights of Khasa, the first Tibetan town north of the Friendship Bridge, glisten throughout the dark evening sky.

Day 08
Trek down to Araniko Highway (one and half hour walking). 3 k.m. drive to Tatopani (hot spring), 2 k.m drive to Kodari waterfall, and then visit to Friendship bridge, and drive back to Borderland.

Day 09
About three and half hour rafting in Bhotekoshi River and 3 hours drive back by private van to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel. Bhotekoshi River is one of the best short river trips of Nepal having rapid grade 3/4/4+, challenging, continuous and tricky rapids, depending on season. 2 ½ hrs Drive back to Kathmandu  O/N at hotel on BB plan. 

Day 10: 
Free  day in Kathmandu or, the visit of Bhakatapure city a heritage os wooden carvings and poetry. Fare well diner with cultural dances.

Day 11
Transfer to Airport for your onward Journey. Program end.

Tsum means Separated and hidden. Actually this newly opened area for the foreign visitors and in fact it is as separated valley in between Tibetan Plateau and Trans Himalaya. This valley is located north of Mt. Ganesh Himal. It's main fact is non violent and very deep in Buddhist religion, countless Stupas and Mani walls along and through the valley. All people are Buddhist with Tibetan customs & Language.Even though it is newly opened for Tourist this Himalayan Ecological Trekking (P.) Ltd is already launched this area as home stay tours in this valley. 2-3 weeks duration is recommendable  to complete this un-touched nature.
