Annapurna Sanctuary Trekking.

Few palace the world have such a splendid variety of natural beauty crammed into one small area as the pokhara valley. Bounded on one side by the sparking water of Phewa lake and on the  other by the magnificent peak of the Annapurna range , Pokhara is truly heaven on earth, This is also the starting points of ending points of many popular trekking routes , such as the Annapurna circuit , you can choose from an easy ridge walk from Naudanda to sarankot , taking only  2 to 3 days  or longer excursions from 6 to 28 days . The option are endless , See sunrise over the Annapurna range from poonhill , soak in Hot springs at tatopani , tour old walled towns like Marpha and Kagbeni , visit Muktinath (a holy pilgrimage site for both Hindu and Buddhists) cross the 5416 m  Thorang La , or visit the Annapurna base camp or just do it all!

Itinerary

Day 01:
Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. B.B. 
 
Day 02: 
After having early morning breakfast at your hotel in Kathmandu, we drive to Nayapul (the trek starting place) via Pokhara, 6 hours scenic drive from Kathmandu. After reaching Nayapul, our trek starts! 15- minutes short walk along the bank of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1065m) a small village that has some shops & teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village. The trail follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. Arrive at Tirkhe Dhunga at 1515m.

 

Day 03:
Trek to GhorepaniLeaving Tikhedunga, we begin our journey with steep climb to Ulleri. Ulleri is a large Magar village at 2070m. Then the trail continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak & rhododendron towards Banthanti at 2250m. Then we make our trek towards Nangethanti at 2460m. After an hour walk brings you to Ghorepani at 2775m.O/N at GH

Day 04:
1 hr Hiking to Poonhill for sunrise view from mt. Annapurna ranges - back to Ghorepani, & 5 hrs trekking to Tadapani after breakfast. Day through scenic rhododendron and bamboo forests. Overnight at Guest House. 

Day 05:
Trek to Chomorung 2020mThe day starts with steep down hill. Leaving Tadapani, we descend steeply through forests and then the trail eases as we reach Gurjung which is the village of Gurung people. We then take easy walk to Chomorung. Overnight at Guest House. 

Day 06:

Trek to Dovan 2300mToday the trail drops down to the Chhomrong Khola & again we continue climbing to Khuldighar at 2380m where there is an ACAP Check post, and continuous walking to Dovan.O/N at Guest House. 

Day 07:
Trek to Deurali 3045 mThe day begins with the climb through bamboo, then rhododendron forests to Dovan, Himalayan Hotel and on to Hinko at 3020m. The accommodation will be in Deurali, on the ridge above Hinko & is the stretch of trail that is most subject to avalanche.O/N at Guest House. 

Day 08:
Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4200mToday the trail climbs on past the Machhapuchhare Base Camp further to the Annapurna Base Camp.Since it is totally surrounded by mountains, this area is known as the Annapurna Sanctuary. O/N at Guest House. 

Day 09:
Explore the hidden Valley in the morning and decent back to Dovan. O/N at Guest House. 

Day 10:
Trek to Jhinu Danda (hot spring). Enjoy the evening at hot spring on the Modi river bank. O/N at Guest House. Day 11: Trek to Pothana via Landruk a largh Gurung village. Day of slow accent.On this day, we will enjoy the views of waterfalls, landscapes, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Fishtail and many more.O/N at Guest House. 

Day 11:
Trek to Phedi and drive to PokharaEarly morning we can enjoy the view of Sunrise, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Machhapurchre & landscape. After breakfst, we take 2 hours easy down hill walk to Phedi where the road links to Pokhara. It is simply half an hour drive to Pokhara from Phedi. Afternoon relaxing or shopping on your own in Pokhara.O/N at hotel. 

Day 12:
Drive back to Kathmandu by car / van or flight. O/N at hotel. B.B.

Day 13:
Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley world heritage sites: (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square). O?N at hotel. Evening fare well dinner with cultural dances.

Day 14:
Transfer to Airport for your onward Journey.

HET has just launched a new program in the remote area behind the Himalaya named Tsum Valley, which is a fragile land of heaven of Buddhist culture and deep beauty & silence of nature.   No scarify of living beings, and countless stupas/Chorten , peace and happy people, landscapes and Charming Himalayas of Ganesh Himala are the major attraction of this valley. Probably this is only the valley where any one smells of untouched nature.   
TAAN signs deal on TIMS

An agreement on TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) was signed between NTB and TAAN. According to the agreement ( which will come into effect from April 1) a charge of per head will be levied for trekkers booking through agencies and with VAT per head for independent trekkers. The amount collected thus will be used for the welfare of tourism sector workers, exploration of new trekking trails and for funding the infrastructure development on trail routes.This will also control illegal trekking operations and ensure the safety and security of the trekkers through the mechanism of Prompt Information Service (PIS) . Individual trekkers will be given green TIMS cards while trekkers going through companies will be given blue cards.Prachanda Man Shrestha, CEO of NTB and Bachchu Narayan Shrestha, first vice-president of TAAN signed the agreement on 18th March.
