This is a trek in the splendid Bumthang valley, the cultural heart of Bhutan. The trek passes through several villages on its meandering route through Bumthang countryside. It is in fact a short trekking route which is covered in three days with a maximum elevation of 3360 meters. The best months for trekking along this route are March to May and September to November. The trek starts from Toktu Zampa and finishes at Mesithang. It is called as cultural trek because of the presence of many villages and Lhakhangs in the route. The accessible town for this route is Jakar. Bumthang cultural trek start from Toktu Zampa and passes through Thanicali Goempa, Damphay, Ngang Lakhang, Phephe La (3360 meters) Tachung, Gamling, Ugyen Chholing, Kizum, Tang, Mesithang near to the starting of the trek, famous Tamshing Goempa, Kurje Lhakhang and Jamba Lhakhang are located which provided more cultural values to this trekking route.
